When you book a newborn session with me, it’s so much more than photographs—it’s a love letter to your baby’s first days. This season is tender, fleeting, and worthy of being remembered with intention. Yes, we’ll capture a few timeless portraits, but the real magic lies in the quiet moments—the way your baby curls into your chest, the tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the sleepy smiles and soft yawns.
This is about celebrating the wonder of new life and the love that already surrounds your little one. During your session, I’ll encourage you to simply soak it all in—snuggle, breathe, sway, cherish—while I document the poetry of these first days together.
One day, your child will look back at these photographs and see not just how small they once were, but how deeply they were cherished from the very beginning. ❤️

In the days leading up to your session, we will finalize location and discuss any styling needs you have. I can send you outfit ideas, mood boards with your vision in mind. I will be here to answer any questions you have. If you need any links to outfits I can send you that information as well! Think of me as your photography bestie!

Prepare for your Session

I am going to let you in on a little secret. The best sessions are when my clients let go of any expectations and enjoy the moment. If your littles are grouchy, thats okay! The most important thing is to go with the flow. All of my sessions take place an hour to 45 minutes before sunset. The best advice I can give you for your littles is let them be little! You will be surprised how well these kiddos do in the late afternoons!

My turn around time is 2-3 weeks. Once you receive your online gallery I will send you a download pin to download all of your images. I recommend MPix for prints and for canvas size wood prints I recommend Smallwoods Home.

This package includes all high resolution deliverable images, a minimum of 30. Two hours of session coverage. The location can be within your home, a local studio, or outdoors (weather permitting). If you are interested in a Fresh 48 we can coordinate the session with the location of the hospital you are delivering to. Images are delivered in a private online gallery. Access to client closet, styling guide and session preparation guide included upon booking.

When is the best time to schedule my newborn session?
Newborn sessions are typically best within the first 7–14 days after birth, while your baby is still very sleepy and snuggly. However, beautiful photos can be taken at any stage, so don’t worry if that window has passed—I’ll capture your little one just as they are.
When should I book my newborn session?
It’s best to reserve your session while you’re still pregnant (ideally in your second or early third trimester). This way, I can hold space for you on my calendar around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll finalize the exact session date.
How long does a newborn session last?
Sessions typically last 1.5–2 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing breaks so we never feel rushed.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
Sessions are held in the comfort of your home or at a studio location with natural light. This makes the experience relaxed and easy for both you and your baby.
What should my baby wear?
Simple, soft clothing in neutral tones photographs beautifully and keeps the focus on your baby. A plain onesie or a special outfit you love is perfect. If you need help with styling, I’m always happy to give suggestions or send ideas!
Can parents and siblings be in the photos too?
Absolutely! Some of the most meaningful images come from parents holding and loving on their baby, and siblings snuggling their new brother or sister. I encourage including the whole family in this special chapter.
What if my baby is fussy during the session?
That’s completely normal! Babies cry, need breaks, and want extra snuggles—it’s all part of the experience. I work with your baby’s pace and never rush, so you can relax knowing we’ll capture beautiful images no matter what.
