Every year, I get asked the same question:

“Are you doing fall or Christmas minis this year?”

The answer is not always yes, but probably not for the reason you think.

While I absolutely love full-length sessions where we have plenty of time to tell your family’s story, I also love creating an opportunity for my returning families to come back year after year.

Mini sessions have become one of my favorite traditions.

They’re my way of saying thank you to the families who continue to trust me with their memories, while also welcoming new families into the Kristen Porter Photography experience.

One of the greatest gifts of this job is seeing your children grow up.

Watching babies become toddlers…
Toddlers become big siblings…
Families grow and change through each season…

It’s something I never take for granted.

A Little Gift From Me to You

I don’t offer mini sessions because they’re easier.

In fact, they’re often some of the busiest days of my year!

I offer them because I know not every family needs a full session every year, and I love creating an option that allows more families to update their photos while still receiving the same care, attention, and experience that I pour into every session.

It’s my little way of giving back to the families who have supported my business over the years.

A Tradition Worth Keeping

Some families have been coming to me for years.

Watching your children grow, celebrating new babies, and documenting each new season of life is one of the greatest honors of my job.

My hope is that when you look back years from now, these images won’t just remind you what everyone looked like.
